CD layer problem

    I own a 2004 Prius with about 5,000 miles. The CD player appears to cause permanent skips on my CDS. I never know when this will happen. Does anyone know how to get the CD player problem addressed?

    You are within your comprehensive warranty period, so take the vehicle to your dealer and have them fix it. I'd recommend bringing one of the damaged discs and gesturing emphatically at the newly added grooves. Use of profanity is optional; effectiveness varies from region to region.

    Wait, am I understanding this correctly? You're saying that the CD player in your Prius is actually scratching your CDs?
