CD stuck

I put in a CD of music that I burned into the CD player and the player does not play it or even recognize that it is there. Worse yet, when I press the Eject button nothing happens! So the CD is still in there. I have been haven't intermittent problems with player not playing CDs (either burned or commercial) but then it usually just kicks them out. (I have seen this problem listed in another thread) But right now I need to get the CD out. Any suggestions? This is the standard 1 disc player in a 2004 model.
