Station on some Friday night in Bound Brook and show up those Classics!!

I miss central Jersey! Lived in New Brunswick, Edison, Piscataway and Highland Park. Wish I was driving my Prius around there.

I live Lawrenceville and work in New Brunswick (the reason for my screen name), so if the wife doesn't mind I could head out for some drinks.

Have seen more Priuses?? cruising along Route 1 everyday.

Old Man Rafferty's is nice, but New Brunswick has gotten some great restaurants.
We go to Soho, Nova Terra and the Harvest Moon Brewpub alot.

After work in the summertime we'll end up at Stuff Your Face on Easton Ave. for beers on their patio. In the winter its the new Dolls on Paterson or Clyde's.

Don't know the last time you were out this way, but the area has been constantly changing.

I lived in New Brunwick/Highland Park from 1986 to 2001. I was in NJ in October, my mom lives up by Hackensack. Straight from landing in Newark, I drove down to New Brunswick to get wings from Cluck-u-Chicken. I've had martini's at Clyde's, boli's at SYF. We used to go to Harvest Moon and that bar across the street from the Hyatt, what's it called? Has an upstairs and a patio. I loved the restaurants in New Brunswick.

I have a classic to show, but I am in Northern NJ (Morris County) so what about a get together in that neck of the woods.

    BUMP!
I drive all the roads mentioned in this post, especially the hellish Route 1. I'm constanly waving to other Pri I see on the road and have only once gotten a wave back. C'mon, wave to me!

What ever became of the meet-n-greet?

oh. my. god. I remember Stuff Yer Face back in the bad ol' days,
when the only sizes they had were Large and Huge [that may still be
true on paper] ... and a Huge Garbage was a *serious* challenge
for anyone. It was like five pounds of wonderfully greasy food.
    .
I don't live around there anymore, but if a meetup happened at the
right time it might be worth a li'l roadtrip down memory lane.

Stuff Yer Face was good back in the day, but the problem is they weren't open when the bars were closed. The grease carts provided a wonderful public service in that respect. What better way to top off a night of drinking than with a pork roll, egg, and cheese sandwich.

I went to school in New Brunswick and remember Greasy Tony's just before it was torn down.

Anyone else old enough to remember Greasy Tony's? Likely not.

Where was that, it sounds familiar? I usually went to Jimmy's grease truck and Cluck-U chicken.

I could almost cry that sounds so good. The happy times in my life were the anticipation of getting a Fat Cat & Peach Snapple at the grease trucks after a night at the bars.

It used to be on the corner of Easton and Somerset. I think there's a new high-rise dormitory there now.

Greasy Tony's had a swept up, pagoda-like roof. Reminded me of something out of the Jetson's cartoons.
