Changing Options

    Perhaps Dianne (or anyone who knows) can explain the process by which Toyota responds to the orders that dealers have sent them.

    Specifically, if I ask my dealer to change my option to one of the more popular numbers will this improve or worsen my chance of an '04 delivery?

    Check out the topic "Shrinking The List" in the Dealers and Pricing section. That may clarify some things. The bottom line is that specific cars don't get directly ordered on the factory and it's pretty much up to the dealer how he wants to deal with the vagaries of the "system".
