Nooooooo I always take care of my baby oil changes on time, baby it. And in the last week my check engine light turned on for a few hours than turned off. And today it turned on again. I kinda regret getting rid of my scan gauge now.

Go by any auto parts place, Advance Auto, Auto Zone, etc. and they will read it for you.

I just went like 10 min to the local autozone and the guy told me they stopped checking because mechanics were getting mad. Idk if its only around my city or SoCal. The light turned off when I turned on the car when I was leaving the store. I have a feeling it's a wire.

It could be something as simple as one of the O2 sensors got a whiff of something, or a minor vacuum leak. If it comes back just check it out.

If the light tripped the code should be stored.

Not sure what part of SoCal you're in, but I could scan it for you.

My understanding is the state of California made it illegal for auto part stores to scan for codes. I have not been able to find the specific law on it, so please don't ask me to prove that.
