check light on the main dash and low millage

    i have been having an issue which i cant get to understand the millage has gone down and there,' a check light on the main meter i tried the google translator but that only says call the car company :( plz help

    The only way to know the cause of your problem is to get the DTC (trouble codes) read. Hopefully there is a Toyota dealer that has Techstream software near you that will read the codes. If you can get the codes, please list them here for more advice.

    Possible problems:
    check the 12V battery. Entering Maintenance Mode (aka 12V Battery Check) without Switching Headlights ON/OFF | PriusChat

    Make sure the inverter pump is running. Look inside the inverter coolant reservoir while the car is on, and check to see that there is turbulence on the surface of the liquid.

    Check the engine oil.

    Clean the MAF sensor.
