Does anyone know if the circuit breaker sensor mounted to the left side of the inverter is Normally open or normally closed? I'm trying to make a quick determination if mine is bad, on a 2004. From my understanding it's used to signal the HV system in the event of a crash.

According to my manual It appears that it is normally open across a resistor. I guess that it is triggered when the resistance dissapears due to the closing of the normally open contact. If it sees a resistance greater then it would probably throw a DTC for open circuit wiring.

    Which DTC did you get?

When triggered the HV ECU will turn off the main system relays which isolates the HV battery from the rest of the car in the event of a car accident.
