I just got a new 2006 and noticed the fingerprints on the MFD screen. Any better ways of cleaning it than what is in the owners manual?

A slightly damp cloth does the trick.

    DO NOT USE HARSH CLEANSERS

I dont know from personal experience, but would swear that someone on this board last year or the year before said that they were cleaning their windows and figured they'd just touch up the MFD. The cleaner caused the MFD to get foggy in a corrosive kind of way. Irreperable without replacement.

    A damp microfiber cloth.

I wouldn't use any chemicals at all besides the ol' H2O; treat it like a laptop screen. It's plastic, after all.

I use what I got to clean my LCD monitor.

I don't even use water. It's just fingerprints. I cut a piece of cloth from an old t-shirt and I keep it in my arm rest. When the MFD gets too many prints on it (rare since most of the controls I use are duplicated on the steering wheel) I just wait until the car is off, then wipe it with the dry cloth.

I use a microfiber cloth to clean fingerprints off. If there are tougher fingerprints (like greasy), I'll slightly dampen the cloth with water.

I use that Klear Screen stuff. Been using it for years. Keeps dust off of TVs and LCD for months.

Dittos the microfiber cloth and maybe a little water. It's kept handy all the time.
