Likely about the same as BA5, maybe improvement in buttons, case quality, display? I'd only heard of BA9, but sounds like BA6 is simliar, maybe cheaper? See on Amazon.com the BA6 is around $50, and the BA9 $62. On Amazon.com page for the BA6, down a bit there's a summary of differences between the various testers:

I've never used any value other than CCA, think the BA6 would be the way to go.

Yeah, I did a web search on the 5th model and the only thing I quick found was the "6" model -- at $50 it is tempting, but haven't decided yet. If it were $40...

Chris if you still live in the tundra instead of wasting money on a battery tester just buy another battery if your sweating your battery.

That's what i would do if i lived where you do..yikes.. I'd have a spare everything lol....Its going to be a very bad winter.

Store it inside. That way you will have a brand new spare ready to go.

I have a Clore BA5 as well as a cheap $20 no name. Most battery testers are similar. The Konnwei is $33 probably do the job for you.
    Konnwei KW208 for $33

I have the 2 testers but I also tend 5 vehicle batteries, 4 garden tractor batteries, 3 spare vehicle batteries, probably about 6 misc battery chargers. Not sure how much use you will get out of your 1 tester, better to test the voltage periodically and have a maintainer on the vehicle.

I have 4 of these maintainer/desulfators that I bought 8 years ago. Excellent deal at $19, plus $9 shipping, I paid $25 on sale 8 years ago. These maintainers weigh 2 lbs, quite substantial build.

Noco Genius1 for $20 on sale for 3 days $20 till Nov 27, free ship, these weigh 12 oz, has AGM setting.

Just grabbed the NOCO Genius 2 on Amazon for $35. The Genius 1 looked good but only went with 1 AMP of trickle charge the G2 has 2 AMPS, which just makes things quicker.
