CNW Rides Again!

I spotted them oozing out into meatspace in the AAA magazine New York "Car & Travel", December 2007, page 22, article titled "Sizing Up Energy Footprints", no listed author, can't tell if it's an ad or an article. I would hazard a guess that it's in all of the regional AAA magazines for December '07.

The article trots out the widely debunked CNW "Why Hybrids Suck" study and accepts it totally and unconditionally. Interestingly, eight out of ten of the most efficient vehicles they could find were domestic. <Sarcastic mode>Go USA! </Sarcastic mode> Old man SPINella is quoted explaining why hybrids don't really do anything for the environment. Do you think maybe he'd finally be happy if I turned mine into a shelter for spotted owls?
