I just had the Costal E Tech License Plate Frame Backup Camera today. ( http://www.coastaletech.com/rear_view_camera.htm ) I am using the CAN-View as the interface between the camera and the car. ( http://www.hybridinterfaces.ca/ ) I used the Composite RCA to SCART RGB converter that is on the CAN-View Web site. ( http://www.hybridinterfaces.ca/extvid.html ). I actually had the interface all set up and tested it out with my Camcorder before I installed the frame camera. I chickened out and had it installed for me and I was glad after I watched all the interior parts coming out to thread the wire to the front. The interior of the hatch and most of the left side of the car had to come out. I sure that some with experience could do it easily given how well the Prius is designed for assembly and disassembly. Works very well.
Costal Dave does not make the camera but he does set it up for you before it is sent. Reverses and aims the camera to the low position on the frame so it does not interfere with the hatch cover actuator above the plate. He also labeled all the wires and set it up for back up camera to minimize wiring and potential for mistakes. All you need to do is run the wires. The picture is bright and is an extreme wide angle (I would guess less than 19 degree equivalent for a 35mm camera) You can practically see under the bumper.
Here are some pictures. As you can see Sasha did not exactly volunteer to stand behind the car to give you some perspective. I guess she did not like the idea of standing behind the car while I put it in reverse.
