Coastal Web Site Down

    Apparently Coastal didn't renew their domain name registry and it's now on "under construction" status.

    Maybe it's still in your browser cache, or more likely the new (expired) nameserver records are still not fully propagated around the world, so the name itself is still cached for you, but not for me.

    My guess is that either it will stop working for you tomorrow, or it will start working for me tomorrow. Depends if it just expired, or was just renewed.

    But I did a domain owner search, and it appear to be registered to [email protected]

    This could be very bad. In the past, certain "types" have been on the hunt for expired domain registrations that they then register and make into a porn site. :cry:

    Doesn't work here - the site is listed on networksolutions as "pending renewal or deletion" as of March 27th.

    Looks like they forgot to pay the bill, but as long as they get it within a few days, they should be OK.

    Checked with Network Solutions, domain name registration has been renewed, and website is now accessable by domain name.

    Interesting thing though, the domain is registered to Coastal Technologies/WebFirst in Montclair NJ, though the technical contact is a webhost in Boca Raton, FL. Billing contact is also in NJ. Are they looking to move? Website still has them in IndiaAtlantic, FL.

    Website may have been accessable all along by IP, but who wants to do that?
