Welllll .... having read the thread about CoastalEtech service AFTER ordering my lockpick, I was happy to receive it within three days of placing my order. It installed easily and appears professionally designed and made.

Unfortunately, it doesn't do anything -- no changes to the MFD whatsoever. I still have to 'I agree' the map screen and everything that was not available when moving is still not available.

I've sent them an email. I am leaving town for 10 days on Weds; if I don't get a response from them by then, back it goes.

    Anyone have advice?

Does it work for a 2006? I didn't think it was available for the 2006 yet. Their website still says it isn't available.

Well I do not know about the '06 model. I just know that when I installed my lockpick kit I did not read the use instructions so I thought it did not work either. For the navigation once I hit destination it automatically beeps the I agree screen. Then I have to hit destination and then the icon on the top left corner of the screen and it then goes through about 5 screens all on its own. and then I can use the map input features. For the bluetooth phone I have to press the phone off hook button on the steering wheel and then I press the telephone icon on the screen and can enter the telephone number. Oh well, I hope you get it sorted for your trip.

If this is the the unit that installs behind the radio and anyone could e-mail the instructions to this, I would really appreciate it.

My trips via airplane, unfortunately - I'd love a long road trip!!!

I took another driver and fooled with things - none of what you saw is happening for me. The lockpick just seems to do nothing and I did check all connectors. :(

As others have mentioned, unfortunately, according to Coastal's Application Guide this won't work on a 2006. This is because the NAV part emulates the software shortcut and that trick hasn't been found (yet) for the 2007. It's a bummer they've got their site set up so it shows 2004-2006 as one group and then you have to look at an application guide. I suppose it's because several of their items (like the Auto-Lock and the EV mod) will work on a 2006 and they didn't want to duplicate pages separately for the 2006.

You know, I'd swear I looked at the application guide before I ordered the Lockpick. Sure doesn't show it for the 2006. And if you order it and then click on the item that is in your basket to check it, you see

    Bluetooth Lockpick
    ( 2006BLUELOCKPICK

Geez. Oh well, at least I know not to bother waiting for a reply before I return it.

Crap, don't return it to them, sell it here to someone who has been dying to get one.
