Finally received the front power outlet kit from Coastal tech. The instructions are clear on where to hook in the wire ends but the wire has to get from under the driver seat to under the dash. The only way I see to do this is route the wire under the carpet (I don't want an exposed wire under the floor mat). Does the carpet just pull up easily or is there another way to route the wire so it is hidden and protected? Is there something obvious I'm missing?

Isn't that mod supposed to go to the dash-mounted
power outlet, not the center-console one? Thus
enabling you to keep the wiring entirely up under
the dash? If you're tapping the light-green
wire behind that mess of stuff ahead of your left
knee when you're driving, then that's supposed to be the
[relay-switched] feed for the dash outlet anyways.
If you run it to the armrest outlet then you've crossed
up which fuse feeds which outlet.
