Coatal tech's site lists the mod to make the front power outlet always hot as not being for 2006 Priuses. Is there any reason why it would not work in the 2006 Prius?

Toyota made many modifications to the body and audio/visual electric/electronics. For 2004/2005, the dash outlet was controlled by a relay supplying power from an unswitched source through a 15A fuse. The relay in turn was controlled using the switched power supplied to the console outlet. The mod would bypass the relay contacts, thus providing continuous power to the outlet via the 15A fuse. Toyota may have eliminated that relay, beefed up the total supplyable current from the main ACC relay, and powered the dash outlet directly from the ACC main supply using a 15A fuse as they had done with the console outlet. In such a case, one would need to rewire the driver dash junction box, or provide alternative power to the outlets using one's own fused harness.

They list it as not verified. I put one in four weeks ago. Works fine. I also have installed it into Barb's 2005 - it was the same in both cars.
