    don't know how many of you know this but coffee takes a huge toll on the environment. coffee used to be grown as a shade plant but because of the adoration of the cup of brew, supply has forced farmers to cut down boatloads of trees so the the crop crows faster in the direct sun light. a significant portion of these trees used to be a part of our rainforests :( . here's an option for you. it's great quality so you won't be compromising taste. an extra bonus is that it's organic so you're not ingesting pesticides and the like, and all the while you're preserving rainforests. if you want to order, click on ground or whole bean under "catagories" in the upper left hand corner.

    Yeah, brands that use "shade" coffee usually advertise the fact. Also look for fair trade labels which indicated that the folks that harvest the stuff get a fair wage.
