I know the OEM mud flaps are black only. I've been spoiled with color-coded mud flaps on prior cars, so I didn't (and haven't) ordered mud flaps for my SPM Prius. Winter is just around the corner, so . . .

Does anyone know whether mud flaps are available in SPM (green to the non-Silver Pine Mica Club Members)?

When I was looking to buy them 18 months or so ago, I don't recall seeing anything but black, nor have I seen any other color mentioned. A body shop should be able to match the color. Maybe they would paint them for you.

Do you really want something that is designed to catch water and road debri painted to match the body color? It will just get nicked and chipped, then look terrible.

The wheel well side should stay black. The colored side would be no different than the fenders, so I don't expect any worse wear. Previous cars (Nissans) had the cclor-coded mud flaps and I never saw any damage.

I'm hoping for the same here, but let me know what I'm missing. I'd appreciate the help.

Any reason why you didn't get the mud flaps and have them painted? Cost?

I have them on my car, and the black is a nice contrast to the SPM. Seriously, you would spend more having them painted than you would on the flaps themselves.

if you wanna do DIY, buy some basecoat color to match the prius ( clear if you like ) , reducer and flex additive, shooot the mud guard with that stuff and your done

if you find a shop that wont rip you off itll be about 200-300 to paint those most likely less.

I never considered it because I didn't see anything but black, and that suited me fine. If you're asking about the mud flaps' cost, I got them at Metro, current price $43 for the set. I don't know how much painting them would cost.

Thanks, Swanny. You don't happen to have a picture, do you? And don't you also have a hitch with a platform -- or is it a trailer? Love to see the pics.

Wow! All the info I requested. Unfortunately, even if I had the gear, I don't believe I have the talent to do the job well. I have enough trouble using spray paint out of a can.

JimboK -- Thanks for this info. When I combine it with the other responses, I now have a pretty good idea of the costs of the whole package. Of course, if the picture of Swanny's SPM with black mud flaps is as attractive as he suggests, then I may just forego the paint job.
