    We will be going from Houston to South Fork Colorado tomorrow morning. I can't wait to take what I have learned from this chat and apply it to my trip. I will post data from my journey soon as I can. Thanks everyone for your imput.

    remember you wont get all that good of gas millage because you will be going up in altitude the whole time.

    You are so correct. I am at darn near sea level here in Houston and it is a gradual incline the whole way. Maybe the trip home will make up for it all downhill.
