I am currently looking at a 2014 Prius (one?) I think. It has cloth inside but has a backup camera. It has 57k miles with 2 owners. Everything else seems to look good with the car. Any opinions? What should I look for to make sure this is a good purchase? This would be my first prius so I don't know too much of what to look for. Thank you!

    • Have all the TSBs/recalls been performed?
    • When was the 12V last changed?
    • Listen to the engine at idle and at revs. Any sounds out of the ordinary?

Have it checked by a certified technician with regards to the hybrid system (e.g. a Toyota dealer). But, you're in Boulder so you have an advantage. There is a hybrid specialist shop called Boulder Hybrids. Paul Guzny is the owner and a great guy (he participates on the WhatDrivesUs podcasts too). You can look him up and ask if he does inspections for used vehicles. He knows his way around hybrids.
