2007 Prius, Touring model, I am the original owner.

I am experiencing a constant alert from the traction sensor on the highway under certain conditions.

This has happened only AFTER bringing my car to a Toyota Dealership for an alignment and two new front tires.

The conditions prompting this alert of the traction sensor are:

-Almost any driving condition over 70 mph
-Driving over 60 mph on a very windy day
-Driving at 60-70+mph on a road with many bumps

I have brought the car back to the dealership twice, and they claim the “standard” Battery is currently only charging to 9 volts, which is causing the problem.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to give these guys a clue?

Bad new front tires, maybe? Swap the rear tires to the front to see if the issue goes away and if
so tell the stealership that they sold you crappy tires.

Are all the tires the same size? Different sized tires will cause car to think it’s slipping as tires rotate at different speed.

You should really replace the 12V battery as it can leave you stranded at any time. And it’s easy to mess up something while jump starting. You can check the 12V battery voltage yourself without any tools Toyota Prius: How to Check the 12v Auxiliary Battery Health - PriusDIY.com

The front tires match each other, and the rear tires match each other. But they are different tires on the front versus the back.

So do I as recommended and swap front to back and see what happens.

Are the tire sizes all the same; or are there different sizes installed in the front vs. rear?
Have you checked the tire air pressure in all four tires?
Have you measured the voltage at the 12V battery when the Prius is IG-OFF and the battery has rested overnight?
