Consumer Reports Downgrades Gen III?

Probably the so called "brake" issue, along with the Run-a-way Prius skit from Saturday Night Live.

 

Yes, it was the brake issue. See this thread for a more detail discussion of the pros & cons of the CR rating. The title says Consumers Guide, but the OP meant CR.

I suspect a whole bunch of respondents didn't follow directions. Since there's no way to tell from the responses whether what people marked down as a "brake problem" was the recall or something else, CR had to show it and thus give the 2010 just an average reliability rating.
