Does anyone know how to set the MFD to come up to the energy monitor as the default screen when the car is started? Mine keeps going back to the Consumption screen even if the car is turned off with the energy monitor screen displayed.

I believe there's a way but not sure. I think it tells you in the owner's manual

weird... it usually defaults to the Energy Monitor. Does it switch to the Consumption Screen even though you shut it off at a different screen? (e.g. audio or climate).

    Try this:

INFO --> SETTINGS and check which button is lit under "automatically switch to navigation from audio, climate" or something along that line.

I seem to remember that at one point it changed it's behaviour. I thought that it use to come on to whatever screen that it was turned off with. I've got the automatically return to the navigation screen button turned off. Haven't tried turning it off on climate or audio then turning it on to see what happens.

Turn it on then. Maybe that'll help?

I think what comes on is what was there last. My experience is to stick with the energy screen while you are driving, keeping the pulse-glide principals more or less in mind and watching your instant mpg.Seems like the mileage is a bit better that way--maybe 2-3 mpg.

Agreed, unless using a Scangauge. I switched back to the consumption screen since I have instantaneous mpg on the Scangauge.
