The 2007 SEMA Show in Las Vegas Oct. 30 to Nov. 2 is where the “aftermarket†automotive industry gathered to showcase anything and everything you can add to a vehicle. The Specialty Equipment Market Association’s annual trade show attracted more than 100,000 car-industry attendees and more than 2,000 companies looking for a piece of the $26 billion auto-accessories market. And with hundreds of tricked-out show cars and scads of scantily clad booth models, it’s easy to forget amid all the eye candy that the SEMA Show is ultimately about car parts. But we fought the crowds, kept our focus and walked the 3.2 million square feet of the Las Vegas Convention Center to bring you 12 of the coolest new car gadgets from the ’07 SEMA Show, ranging from the practical to the practically bizarre.
