most of you probably thinking ...........its not existing
well here u go, after thinkering for a while i came up with idea that i can make it happen and modify Philips OEM D2S bulb and use OEM audi Hella ballasts.
i dont like those crapy aftermarket bulbs and ballasts. u can always tell apart OEM vs aftermarket.
    well here is a proof

tomorrow ill have the shot of a OEM cut of beam and with D2S bulbs installed.
we will see if it was worth it.this will keep headlights sealed just like H11 bulb with output of HID
LMK what u guys think about that project.

Wouldn't the cutoff be more affected by the shield and lens than the bulb assuming a good quality bulb like Morimoto vs. a Philips or Osram?

the shield will affect the cut off , but the focal point of the bulb affects it most. the focal point of the rebased D2s should match the focal point of H11 so will see.
i didnt want to modifie the headlights to get D2S projectors in them. i just wanted to see if this would work.
so im keeping my fingers crossed.

I'd do the Morimoto Mini H1 retro before I did the OE LEDs. :)

My PIP came with the LEDs. I did retros on my older Prius. I had a basic HID kit on my 2012 Three.

If my turbo didnt go on my subaru I would rather take the retro fit. I have h1s in my Impreza. But if this seems okay I'll take this option for now. Just buy the d2s adapters and bulbs and BAM! Haha
