The little plastic chrome Trim ring around the power button on the dashboard.........
On sunny days.......the glare and reflection from this thing is KILLING ME!.......

    Anyone else have this problem?

Any Suggestions for changing it out or painting or covering it?

Can't say that I've ever had that problem.
But it's possible that replacing it would require removing the dash which would involve potential airbag issues. On the passenger side, that is.

You might try carefully painting it with a flat black.

I turned mine upside down, but it's still shiny. Thought about
painting the rim matte black or something..

This was the first mod I did. The glare was very distracting for me so I took my bottle of touch-up paint and made the ring match my exterior. Now...what does one do about the car ahead of you with glare coming off their rear window?

If you pull the dash panels and remove the switch from the dash, you can remove the chrome part completely from the rest of the switch (it's not fun, but can be done, just pry in the "right" areas), and spraypaint it for a smooth finish.
