    Hello Prius experts,

I have a 2010 US Prius and there is a sensor similar to the daylight sensor in my 2000 corolla on the dash near the windshield on the passenger side. I know that the US Prii do not have auto-on headlights. What is this sensor for?

I know if I turn on the headlights just ahead of a tunnel, with dash light control just below the max click:

Going into the tunnel the dash lights dim, then at the far end they brighten again, so the sensor would be running that as well.

    Thanks guys.

I might try that mod at the end of the summer when I have some time off.
