Have a 2004 prius, been sitting for over a year due to dead battery. I want to sell it to a junkyard but need to get into it to get stuff out but have lost the key, think it may be inside the car. Is there anyway to get into it without breaking a window or calling an expensive locksmith.

    Welcome to PriusChat!!

You might try unlocking either of the fronts doors by using a 'slim jim', aka lock out tool or car door opener.

How much would the junk yard offer, and does it still have the original catalytic converter ($$$$) ?

Don't sell it to a junkyard, you can put it on craigslist and easily get money for it.

If you have AAA or if any of your neighbors have AAA, they can call for you and have someone come open the car. Anybody with AAA will be able to do it for free

Often times even the local police will open the door with an assortment of tricks they have. Do not sell it to junkyard. That would be like giving money away.
