People hiring arsonists to 'steal', then burn their SUV's which they can no longer afford.

On the personal level this is sad. What is scary is that the current regime is largely dependent on consumers spending beyond their means to keep the economy from tanking. This may be what we have to look forward to in America, not just in cars but in houses. I would very much like than to be wrong on this.
