Hello everybody! I am new to PriusChat. I am an 18 year old student from Kentucky and am getting ready to go to college. As a gift for earning a scholarship my parents are going to buy me a new car and of course, I want a Prius. They need a little more convincing and I was wondering if anyone had some information I could give to them? I would like to present a good argument for the Prius. Thanks!

    Congratulations on your scholarship.

Here are some arguments to get you started:

It's a safe car, with lots of airbags and traction control. Even better if you get one with Vehicle Stability Control (which I believe is available starting with option package 2, but you'll want to verify that).

You'll save $$$ on gas, which means you'll have more to spend on books and other school supplies.

Plenty of cargo room for hauling all your stuff to and from school.

Real-time feedback on gas mileage will encourage you to alter your driving technique to save gas, which will also happen to make you a safer driver.

Lower emissions will mean cleaner air for their grandchildren to breathe.

    Good luck!
