I do not and will not own any Apple products, so that's as useless as oars on an airplane to me.

 

iPhone and MacBook pro. buy american.

 

Bad business model.

I've spent thousands of my own dollars to avoid owning Apple equipment.

not sure why, it's a great company, and i support the work they do. the options are not impressive

 

It's a horrible company. They spend most of their time not following industry standards, breaking industry standards followed by others and being a sole-source for use of their software (I can use Windows or Android on hardware from dozens of companies).

I send emails to my friend all the time that have a simple jpg attached. Sometimes he can open them on his iPhone, sometimes the entire email gets converted to a .dat file with an error text message in it. I just re-send the same email and he gets it. Sometimes. He sends me videos from his iPhone and they usually play up-side down because Apple doesn't follow the industry standard for video metadata orientation. Everyone else does, Apple doesn't. Scum.

30 pin connectors, Lightning connectors, elimination of the 3.5mm audio plug, ... the list goes on of them not following standards. USB-C is the first sign of them pulling their collective heads out.

And every time I look at their products, they never have what I actually want. When my company tried to push a free iPhone4 on me with free service they were still stuck on teeny tiny screens so I bought a Samsung Galaxy and paid for my own service. When I bought my last PC, the MacBookPro was not configurable with the components I wanted, and cost more than twice as much as the Dell XPS 17's I bought. I literally bought 2 for less than the price of one MacBookPro and the XPS's do have the components I wanted.

I'm about to replace those two PCs. Apple doesn't make a competitor for either of the two PCs I'm going to buy to replace them. If they did, they'd probably cost twice as much and work half as well. Plus, close to half of the software I use daily isn't even available for a Mac so I'd have to install Windows on it anyway. Pointless.

And don't get me started on the hundreds of hours I spent on that virus they call "Quicktime".

 

it is a wonderful company for a large percentage of the population, who don't do tech, and just want things to work.
for tech nerds? they wouldn't have jobs if it weren't for the rest of us.

 

I send a guy a simple jpg - he can't open it. It can't run my software. They have non-stop problems with both iPhones and Macs at work. IT says it costs 5 times as much for them to maintain a Mac versus a PC.

How is that "just working"?

i used dell, hp compaq, you name it for 20 years. nothing but problems. for the last 6 years i moved everything to apple.
it's like night and day. there's a reason they sell so many i phones.

 

I doubt it. The last time I had alcohol was when I was 13. And considering how badly I respond to caffeine I suspect alcohol would kill me.

A friend at work gave my coworker a hard time for buying a Toyota pickup while he has a Ford truck. Turns out the Toyota was made in America and the Ford was made in Mexico.

My first computers were both Atari's. I've had PCs since 1983, of all makes and models (including building my own). Never a problem with any of them except two failed hard drives, which isn't bad for 35 years of use. There are five in my house right now.

 

My Dell laptop and Compaq laptop both burned up. No joke. Thank God for the simple iPad!!

i guess we all go by our personal experiences, sorta like cars. the day toyota lets me down, i'll move on

I love Apple... Iphones, Ipads, Watches, Apple TV, Apple Music, and Itunes!!! I'm crossing my fingers that my '19 Prime will have CarPlay!!!
