Do you have any Plug-ins without CA HOV stickers? Our dealers out here in the boonies don't even know Toyota makes something with a plug so we want to fly out to Cali and purchase a PiP (cash). But don't want the markup if there is one for the HOV sticker and also don't want to waste a slot since the car will never be in California.

These deals are under invoice. They are not marked up due to the stickers.

Separating the PlugIns now that they are seriously low on HOV stickers in CA.
    -------------------------------------------------------------
Prius PlugIns: Carpool Lane stickers good thru January 1, 2019 and, 110 Fastrak is also FREE with a transponder!

Incentives good thru Sept 30, these deals good thru Sept 30th or till I run out of cars - I am nearly sold out of the 2014's completely.

As for the 2014 base models. Prius Plug in base model is just like a Prius III but has more standard features like seat heaters and REAL alloy wheels instead of the plastic wheel covers. These are also trimmed out very nicely with the silver painted door handles, silver accents front and rear, and the California HOV/Carpool lane access. The only caveat is that you are giving up a spare tire... but for the sake of carpool access and far better fuel economy when you plug into any standard plug that's 15A! Most average 70-95 to 100+ MPG when plugging in faithfully.

Prius Plugin deals in SoCal are as follows:

These terms are good thru Sept 30th at 10pm.

Prius PlugIN. I have 19 left and all now have HOV stickers assigned and in-hand.

Thru Sept 30, there are several incentives, including a great lease + cash bonus.
*0% APR for 60 months PLUS an added $2,000 cash incentive (OAC)
*Near-ZERO lease rate + 2,000 cash for qualified buyers. (OAC)
*Cash payers/those not using the 0 apr get a $3,000 rebate.

Best off: leave here in all of plugins with HOV stickers on your bumper!

Base model: with mats, in all colors (but pearl white) $29,999.
(please add $360 for the pearl white paint choice)

Paying cash or financing but not using the 0 apr? Deduct $3000 rebate to net out at $26,999. plus tax and title. After you calculate in the $4,000 in state/fed incentives, you're netting out at about $22,999. Not bad for a carpool lane ride!!

Using the 0 apr? Deduct $2,000 TFS cash as a well qualified buyer = $27,999 and then for buyers, after you calculate in the $4,000 in state/fed incentives, you're netting out at about $23,999. Not bad for a carpool lane ride!! Using 0 apr!

Lease: absolutely ZERO cash needed, and depending on your county of residence, approx $375-380 a month + tax for all colors (payments vary due to tax rates being a little different in different areas)

Lease must be for 36 months to get the $2K from TFS and to get the $1500 from CA state funds. This lease requires very good credit. If you don't have great credit, but it's possible to still lease; score-wise, you can still do the lease, but the payments are higher because the rates are higher from TFS.

Buying? Easy.. using the 0 apr, payment is approx 467 plus the tax and title for your own geographic location tax rate.

I am sold out of the advanced.
My base inventory of 2014's that qualify for these terms is (as of 9/3)
    2 pearl white
    3 sea glass pearl green
    14 clearwater blue

Great to know, but I don't want to deprive someone who can use it. I am guessing these are the last of those with stickers, so if I don' want/need a stickered one, should I just wait until you run out of these? You are first on our list of dealers to fly to because of your community involvement here on PriusChat. We can wait to purchase, so no problem there.

I appreciate that, as so the others, but you also might miss out on the 3000 rebate for being "polite" so do this at your own risk! :)

i got my plug-in prius for 26.5k in socal. I wanted the stickers but all the dealers were charging 500-1000 extra for them, so i felt like it wasn't worth it.

So a black PiP would be $29999 initially.
Subtract $3K to $26999 after rebate for paying cash
Then Federal rebate is $2.5K on next years taxes, making it $24499

    In Colorado they use the MSRP of $29999 - Federal of $2.5K = $27499 in the state rebate. Then (4.4/100) * 27499 * 1.0 = $1209

That leaves a grand total of $23290 for a brand new PiP Base. Not bad at all...

the issue with these rebates and tax credits, at least in CA is you have to pay tax on the full amount. So a 30k prius that comes out to be 23k after rebates/credits will end up costing more than a car that has MSRP of 23k.

    There's no black PlugIn.
My PlugIns left are green, blue, and just a couple pearl whites. Maybe to get the dark exterior color, ie. a gray, you need to wait for the 2015... and pay a little extra?

    A $30K vs $23.2K car in CO:

    Ownership Tax (Registration) on $30K:
    Taxable Value (85% of MSRP) = $25,500.00
multiplied by Year of Vehicle Rate = .021
plus the estimated cost by Type of Vehicle = $93.00
    ESTIMATED TOTAL = $628.50

    Ownership Tax (Registration) on $23.2K:
    Taxable Value (85% of MSRP) = $19,796.50
multiplied by Year of Vehicle Rate = .021
plus the estimated cost by Type of Vehicle = $93.00
    ESTIMATED TOTAL = $508.72

    Total Delta is: $119.78

For sales tax, it is 2.9% for CO, 1.23% for the county, 1% for the PPRTA, and 2.5% for the city making it 7.63% total.

    $30K car is $2289
    $23.2K car is $1770.16

    Total Delta is $518.84

That means it is only $638 more to pay for sales price vs. sales minus rebate price.

And in CO, if I buy a used 2012/2013 in Cali for $20K I can still get the full CO state rebate, making it $1209 less as long as it has never been registered in CO itself and still got the CA and Federal rebates prior.

There is also some sort of sales tax game that can be played with EV's and PHEV's here in CO, but I didn't even bother with the Leaf.
