Did a Brake Job

    I installed new brakes on my 2008 Prius, now the ABS Warning lite is on, is there a reset for this ?and how do you do it Need Help Wife is like., What did you do to my Car.

    If you pushed the caliper piston in without disconnecting the 12V battery chances are you are going to have to take it to the dealer to have them resynch the brake system. The brake system is pretty complex.

    There is a reset which involves placing a jumper on the OBD-II socket; please do a search.

    Do not feel defeated as it still cost you less doing it yourself and then having the code cleared, than if you had taken it to the dealer to have the work done.

    With the Prius it is important to disconnect the 12 volt battery (as a minimum) when doing brake work.
