at 68 yrs old im not used to beautiful gals even talking to me let alone getting in my car.
I no longer care how good it is on gas and how it rides.Im parking at the gas station and waiting for the next gal. my eyes felt 50 yrs younger

    SWEET

It's great to see that the Prius is finally having an impact outside the "early adaptors" group. Especially with the "beautiful gal" crowd!

omigod! That is one of THE best Prius stories I've heard. Unfortunately, I don't hang around the gas station often enough it seems. Maybe a top off of 1 or 2 gallons each week...hmmm....

Well, I've said it before: the Prius is a rare-earth Chick magnet. I don't even have to try hard now to get lucky ...

I'm absolutely not bulls****** you. Even if I do nothing, I can thank the Prius around 30% of the time. Not bad for just opening a passenger door and letting a woman sit in there.

If I put on a bit of charm and act smooth, over 75% of the time: cha-ching!

I've gotten lots of attention about my Prius from middle-aged men.

    It's just not the same.

I work in public health, and we have a lot of students from the nursing school doing internships here. When I got my Prius, the ALL wanted to see it and ride in it - so at lunch, I'm walking with 4 sweet, young (and good looking) women out to my Prius? Chick magnet? Maybe...where I work it's a chick electro-magnet!

The other day I stopped in one of the local Waffle Houses for a late night bite to eat, and the short order cook, who looked like he was about 75, missing most teeth, hadn't shaved in a few days, nearly anorexic, and cigarette breath that you could smell a mile away asked me if my car was a hybrid, and then started asking me all kinds of questions about it. The way he started asking those questions made me pretty uncomfortable.

I **wish** it had been a hottie in a Lexus, but nope, no luck there (yet).

Hmmmm now that you mention it ... yeah I also get a *lot* of attention from boys and younger men too. Kind of creepy but I suppose if I were Bi that could be fun.

Must be something in that inverter that generates powerful Libido Rays ... works better than CK Obsession!

The male attraction is either the "Geek Effect" (self-explanatory), or the "Gadget Effect" (more commonly known in the U.S. as the "Oooh, lookit the buttons and touch screen!" effect.)

Sex plays no part in it (though gender might. :) ).

Reminds me of a magazine ad for a very hot-looking piece of high-tech test equipment, covered with buttons, switches, readouts, and the like. The banner at the top of the ad got the thought process just right, and in the right order:

    I WANT ONE!
    What does it do?

I forget what the thing did do, but I still wish I had one.

Well, it ain't attracting any women for me.

Then, there is a lady in my church I have been wanting to get to know better. She doesn't date, but she has asked about my car. Hmm. Maybe we can get a bite together and I can let her drive the Prius.

do not know beats me. I really am NOT bulls******* you when I say the Prius is a high-intensity Chick magnet. At least around here it is. If I play it smooth, yahoo.

Hey, if the Prius acts as a go-between, take advantage of it. This gal sounds promising.

If no one else is going to bite on this, I suppose I will.

Jay, you're in Manitoba. First of all, your Prius is probably the newest thing they've seen since indoor plumbing. Secondly, are you sure they're women?

Your stories tell me that people dig the Prius cos' they already know that it's a high-tech hybrid. My few encounters w/ strangers (btw, nothing remotely resembled babes there) tell me that they dig the Prius solely because of its look. They had not the slightest clue that it is hybrid nor did they know or care what a hybrid is. This kinda puzzles me quite a bit. Not that I find the Prius not pretty. But it's more like a cute car like in the category of the New Mini, New Beetle, smart than a super luxurious type of pretty car in terms of appearance. But guess that I am wrong. And when I mentioned the word 'hybrid', their eyes glowed brighter.
