Unfortunately most "Career" State Department employees believe in our Country not a party or policy. They try to do their jobs the same as our soldiers do. It sounds like the State Department is trying to assign people who never planned on foreign service just wanted to serve our government here.

Chicken Hawks will bail rather actually risk their lives for our country.

    I think it great idea.
If we want to solve this diplomatically we can't do it sitting in a office in Washing DC.
Now some other government workers get to feel what we have been feeling in the military for a long time. Time to cut out some dead wood in the state dept.

Well did they mostly serve the status quo? If so, on they go!

Translation of State Department whiners' complaints:

"You see, we did join the State Department, but we joined a different one. We joined the one with the condos and the private rooms and no overseas assignments to hazardous locations. They don't need State Department representation."

I want to know why we have an open embassy in war zone.

For the same reason we had an open embassy in the Republic of Vietnam (otherwise known as South Vietnam) - we have diplomatic relations with Iraq.
