Dirty Backside

    It's rained here in Colorado a few times in the last week, and I noticed something a little weird.

    Most of the car is perfectly clean, but the very back of the car (where it gets flat) is all dirty in water drip patterns (including the backup camera lens).

    Is this a result of the Prius aerodynamics?

    Yup. The back end of the Prius gets very dusty. Add some rain and it gets very muddy. You may also notice dust/dirt behind the rear wheels on the plastic bumper wrap.

    I use a "California Duster", sort of a treated string mop, that gets off most of the dust and the big chunks. A spritz of detailing spray and a microfiber wipe can make your thing of beauty a joy forever again.
