Disable key-in-with-door-open beep

    here in the UK the only way to switch the stereo on is by having the keyfob inserted. If at the same time you keep the door open the car makes a very annoying beep.
    Has any of you found a way to disable this beep?
    I looked in the easter eggs postings but this is not mentioned (I guess because in the US you can switch the stereo on with the key in your pockets?)
    Please don't tell me the answer is in the manual... :eek:

    I would never disable that one, if I could!
    Have you thought of rolling down the window, and then shutting the door?

    Sure I could roll down the window, but that means cycle to power on twice, once to roll it down and once to roll it back up.
