Nice job. You could've also used a Hasepro sticker (pre-cut). Is that 3M di-noc cf?

I asked the shop keeper would it be fitted to the emblem of my car. Her answer was "not sure" !
So, I bought a roll of the carbon fiber sticker to make by myself. That was 1/3 price of the pre-cut ! And the roll of the sticker is 12" x 36" big !
I can stick anywhere not just the emblem! :)

Just normal car accessory shop. They hv several types. For the most expensive is 3M. Mine is cheap one but looks good in the texture.

Ahh man that's sweet! Did you have to disassemble it to apply the cf? I would do that on mine but I'm afraid the contrast between cf and magnetic gray won't be as dramatic.

I'm also thinking of wrapping my chrome grille/smile, but I don't want to remove my grille. Lazy. I cringe every time I see the front of my car...the chrome just doesn't look right.

Hi macmaster05, I didn't disassemble, just sticked directly on it. Cut the useless parts by cutter after sticked the cf. You'll need some attention to the middle part as there is a piece of black stuff stands there. :D

I purchased a 6" x 12" piece of carbon fiber sticker from www.metrorestyling.com for $1.99 plus shipping. Popped off rear emblem by slipping a credit card underneath. Removed front emblem by unscrewing from inside the hood. Then I simply traced the existing emblem backing on to the sticker, cut the sticker with a scissor and then adhered the sticker to the original plastic backing, punching a few holes as needed. 15 minutes.

The emblems are not taped to the vehicle. They have "barbed" clips protruding from the back which are inserted into holes. For the rear emblem, if you slide a credit card under at the bottom and work it around toward one side, you will release one of the clips and the emblem will just pop off. For the front emblem, you can't do this, as it is recessed. Using a short phillips screwdriver, you can unscrew the front badge assembly from inside the hood (only two screws). You can then push the badge assembly out from behind. Once in your hands, you can easily separate the "chrome" piece from its base to get to the plastic sheet in between.

The 'T' emblems are only screwed in. The "Prius" "HSD" "Hybrid" and "Toyota" badges are only taped on however.

But I'm not sure pictone's trick will work for the Gen II front and rear emblems.
