Want to see if I can buy a small wheel for ice racing. Can I clear the front brakes with 14"? I assume I can

Are the 14s needed to get a smaller tire diameter so that the imbedded
~ 2 inch studs/spikes dont contact the wheel well liners?

I'm extrapolating from some motorcycle ice racing film I saw some
years back -- maybe the old Wide World of Sports with the late
Jim McKay ;) (Ballamer born and raised.)

There were skaters barrel jumping too :p

cheaper tires and cheaper rims, just something to do in the cold. I want to run 175 or 185 but no studs as I live in ctwith the cvt and the relative low power, I should be able to win the non studs fwd class
