I have a 2010 IV prius and my phone is linked up, but every time I start the car, it (my phone) asks me if I want to link up? Can I set it that it will do it automatically every time?

    What phone do you have?

My little Cosmos from Verizon automatically hooks up each time I get in the car. I think there may be a setting in the phone that allowed for this option.

My Sanyo phone (scp-7050) has the option that you select for auto link.

The answers to these phone questions vary by make and model of phone. One of the aggravations of Bluetooth is that every manufacturer seems to do it a little differently from the others.

Android phones with OS 2.1 (Motorola Droid, HTC Eris, HTC Incredible) work as well as the Blackberry Bold 9700 and an Apple iPhone 3GS.

You can't buy my phone anymore unless you go on Ebay. Even then, this phone won't work with the new Sprint plans. I have 3 of my phones at home for backup...i love it that much! But, i also have an old old old Sprint plan that is perfect for me (free incoming anytime minutes, 300 anytime min, free weeknights/weekends for $40). This plan is long gone.

I need to get this off my chest -- BLUETOOTH, I HATE YOU!

It's such a hopelessly over-engineered spec for the simple purpose it serves. I've owned so many darned Bluetooth mice, headsets, radios, phones... There's ALWAYS a hassle! It always works one day, and not another. I did have a Logitech mouse that paired virtually every time, but for it's simple purpose, Bluetooth is the standard that needs to be take outside, shot in the head, and replaced with something simple and effective.

Thanks, I feel much better now.
