its been done, I know I've seen Subaru wheels on this site. if you don't drive like a maniac, and use the correct lugnuts for your wheels, it should be fine until you find those adapters.

Hubcentric adapters ensure that the wheels are centered on the hubs. It's desirable so you don't get untoward vibrations that could affect balance and handling, and affect bearings and other suspension components.

back in the day we didn't use hubcentric adapters because they didn't make them for American cars at least. and it was never a problem unless you were foolish enough to buy unilug wheels, which were junk that had oval lug holes. those were deadly. quality lug nuts properly installed will keep the wheel centered just fine. I would keep looking for the adapters though.

but you in the gen 2 forum here. I see you got a gen 3

They're available on ebay, $10-20 depending on material. I would probably get aluminum ones. I've been looking at getting Subaru Impreza wheels myself. Looking at forums for other similar Toyota cars (Camry, Corolla, Matrix, etc.), it seems that 5-10mm spacers are also likely required to keep the wheels from touching any of the brake components.

Obviously you'd need to get 5x100mm wheels. Some Subaru wheels are 5x114mm and other sizes.

What I can't figure out is: if you need spacers, is it better to get Toyota 54.1mm spacers or Subaru 56.1mm spacers?
