Is it my imagination, or is my Prius a lot — and I mean a lot — dustier than my old Corolla ever was? Are the batteries attracting dust — not just to the dashboard, which is coated with it — but somehow even to the windshield?

    Man.

I think it is the flocking they use on the trim parts that gets knocked off or just comes off and flows around the cabin. Just a theory, havent examined it under the microscope, but they all seem to have it. And dust.

Well mine just gets a lot of dust from the -outside-. Mainly because I like to have the windows open a bit. I use a Swiffer duster, which I carry in the hatch tray, to clean up.

I live in a very dusty environment and haven't noticed the Prius attracting more dust than any other car.

I had a 2007 Camry that did the same thing. I had a 2011 Prius, the same. I changed the cabin filters in both cars at no longer intervals of 10,000 miles. Did not help at all. Guess what? I traded the Prius less than 2 months ago for a new 2014 Avalon Hybrid XLE Touring and it does the same. The Camry was NOT A HYBRID either. I NEVER drive with any of my windows down.

Probably as good of a solution as any.

No different than previous cars we've had. Maybe the dash a bit, due to that "grain", that's all.

My wife's crocheting puts more dust on the dash.

Well, I got out the vacuum cleaner yesterday and cleaned it up. The idea of keeping some kind of duster in the car is a good one, though, so I may see how much something fancier than a rag would cost.

They make mini California Dusters, that's what I carry inside my vehicles for quick dusting.

I just say Prius cars. Priori means something else. Haven't you learnt your Latin?
