Most dealers have them listed as "not available". But you can call around. I think Nancytheprius just bought one in 2023 and just installed.

Are you asking if they have them "in local stock" ??
I doubt that will ever happen......just like they don't keep spare engines and transmissions in stock.

Case in point. Ad on Kijiji Canada for new in crate Gen 2 and Gen 3 batteries. Posted by Jonathan, Merivale Rd., Nepean Ontario. Digging a little shows Jonathan is the Parts Manager at Tony Graham Toyota on Merivale Road. Seems a customer ordered batteries and cancelled. Retail $3100 and $3300, selling for $2200 and $2300. Seems the batteries are non-returnable to the Toyota regional warehouse? 50% markup?

Wonder what happens if you contact him privately on Kijiji, would you skirt the core charge? Or calling him at the dealer and core charge applies?

I must be missing something here.
Many discussions of new replacement batteries includes a concern about the "core charge".
Doesn't that work like it does with more common batteries.......in that you get the "core deposit" BACK when you actually take them your old battery assembly ????

I’m assuming he is selling it privately since he didn’t advertise the dealer name. Matter of fact I sent a reply to the ad and he said no core, just want them sold.

    $2200cdn = $1600usd
