Does a bicycle fit inside a gen4 Prius?

You either have to remove the front wheel or rotate the handle bar 90 degrees to get a bike to fit in the rear with the rear seats folded down.

I have a 2017 Prime so even a smaller trunk than yours (height wise). I have no problem fitting my Large frame size Giant TCX with full fenders inside the trunk. I simply fold down the rear seats and remove the front wheel.

Make sure you put it in with the derailleur facing up!

It depends on the bike size. My 2021 Prime Ltd. with the rear seats down is 60" clear from the front seat backs to the rear of the trunk area and is 36" wide (clear) between where the rear seats latches are. See the attached diagram.

 

I took my Cannondale Hybrid to the bike store yesterday. 2017 Prius 4 touring. Turned the front wheel straight up with the bike laying down. Seats folded down.

Mind the gap at the back of the folded seat—a bike pedal that slides through can press onto the high voltage lines.

 

I get my road bikes in the back easy enough. Getting them out is a bit harder.
The weight of an E-bike might make it harder to get in and out, since you have to slide them in or roll them in on an angle on one wheel. Pedals hanging up on anything going in and pulling out can also be a pain even with a light road bike.

 

The relatively larger size of the trunk in our gen 4 over the current gen is one of the reasons why I've chosen NOT to upgrade to the current gen prius whenever the time comes for us. I'm not excited about the current 2nd gen Niro nor a Toyota hybrid NONhatchback so we'll hold onto our G4 prius for a while.

Your ability to store your ebike in the back depends on the frame and wheel size of your bike and how easy it is to remove the wheels. W the rear seats folded down, I've managed to squeeze in three mtn bikes w the front 29" wheels removed. When I have rear seat passengers, I can easily fit in one of my bikes (road or mtn) w both wheels removed. Obviously, you'll have to be careful w the wheels off bc components like your R derailleur, brakes, and chain can be more easily exposed/damaged.
