Does anyone use the scan guage II to max regen energy?

Can the scan gauge II be used to maximize current to the battery when breaking?

um no. and welcome to PC! The SGII measures what is going on but does not add to it or change the readings.

Well, you don't want to *maximize* regen current going to the
battery, but you do want to control it. There is an XGAUGE to
read hybrid battery amps, which should help keep those braking
events at peak capture efficiency without heating the pack too
much or falling to the physical brakes.
    .
I've got an analog gauge which I prefer to having to read a
number, and I use it *all* the time to try and keep things
under 50 amps when possible. Often, it isn't, but that's life
    on the road.

Is there a scan gauge widget to read the traction battery temperature?

I've been able to do a a temperature vs forced-charge graph using my Graham scanner and was wondering if the NHW20s suffer a similar temperature rise.

    Thanks,
    Bob Wilson

Dan deciphered two temperature gauges, one for the highest reading and one for the lowest (I guess so you can see what kind of delta exists across the pack). No doubt it heats up if you put enough current through it, as I've watched mine head north of 45C in heavy city driving on a warm day without the A/C running. Needless to say I avoid doing that.
