does my prius have one?

    we are looking to buy a 2005 prius used. do all of the cars have the aux input for ipods? where exactly is this located?

    No, they were added beginning with 2006.

    However, there are various aftermarket options for adding an aux input, mostly via the changer port.

    Nope, it's a 2006+ feature.

    Also, there's a difference between the generic AUX Input and the iPod connection.

    2006+ cars have the AUX Input. The iPod connector is extra.

    I have a 2005 and I added DICE's iPod connector which comes with both AUX and iPod connection for a pretty good deal here at the PC shop. The other more expensive alternative is VAIS' unit.

    Our 2007 with package no. 1 has an aux input jack in the storage compartment under the center armrest. For about $10.00 I bought a cable at Radio Shack with a male connector on both ends. Pluged one end into the aux input and the other end into my ipod nano. It works perfectly.

    It does on mine. I have the JBL system though. It should work with the base audio unit but double check with those who have the base audio unit.
