Does Pandora use the car's data reception or my phone's?

I have only a 1 gig per month data plan on my IPhone. I assume that if the Prime Entune system uses my phone's cell data to feed the Pandora app on my Prime, I will quickly use up my data. Is that right?

As in a gig on your Celtic harp (saw your picture)?

No, just kidding (although I bet that's a load of fun to play!). From other discussions here, I gather that the answer is that it uses your phone's data plan, but I too will be interested to hear your replies. (My P.Prime has not been received yet.)

    From the Navigation manual:

When using Entune App Suite, depending
on the details of your cellular phone
contract, data usage fees may apply.
Confirm data usage fees before using
    this service.

Applications can only be used when the
Entune App Suite application has been
downloaded to your cellular phone and
    the application is running.

In order to use applications, it is necessary
to run the Entune App Suite application
    on your cellular phone.

What does all of that tell you?

The confusion for me is the vagueness of "data rates MAY apply." Does that mean if you have an unlimited data plan, the data rates don't apply? Or does it mean that some Entune apps require data from your cell phone and others don't? Sorry to be thick.

It means Entune uses your cell phone to fetch data, and how you pay for that is your own business.

Confirmed, Pandora uses your phone's data. The bitrate is pretty low though. On default quality, you're looking at 30 mb an hour. That's over an hour per day with a 1 gb limit.
