If I wanted to ignore all posts made by a certain member or members ... is it possible to do that so that I don't even see their posts ?

I've never needed to do this on any other internet forum before, but I know that most forums do offer that function. Anybody know how to do it ?

    Thanks

I've used it on a couple of members and it works great except when some replies with a quote from the ignored member. :( I added a new one today and the function still works fine.

Thanks Guys ! It works, but I was hoping that you wouldn't see ANYTHING from or about that user ... it shows more or less a blank post and indicates that it is hidden because the user is on your ignore list.

Is that the best it gets ? It;s OK if that's the best it can do but I was hoping for a complete and total ignore.

The ignore function can make PC a pleasanter place. As already said, it's in your control panel under user cp/edit ignore list.

It's not perfect because you still see the person's name everytime they post in a topic you are looking at and you still see their post contents when someone quotes them.

I compare not using it to walking down a sidewalk littered with smelly dog turds and compare using it to walking down a sidewalk that has labels that say "there is a dog turd here, do you want to sniff it" but you can't see or smell the actual turd unless you deliberately unblock it.

There were were one or two guys on here who were much worse. It seems one is on a "vacation" now and I'm unclear if it's voluntary.

On Tivocommunity, for the first time, I had to put someone on my ignore list. His handle was bicker and well, that's what he did, even if he had no knowledge of the subject nor any direct relationship to the issue we were facing.

That is quite possibly the best analogy I've seen. I used to refer to it as being in a book store with the adult stuff behind the curtain; you know it's there, you just don't walk there.

Though I did use the analogy once that Priuschat is Danny's privately-owned sandbox; we just get to play in it. He's the only one who can decide to remove the cat poop.

    OH YEAH!
I also moved this thread to the "website Questions" forum.

That, I can deal with by stepping around them. No big deal. It's when the turds are flaming and aimed at you from a slingshot that the ignore function really comes in handy.

    It's me...you all hate me....

Come on...don't we make the world a better place when we reach out? When instead of shunning our fellow humans we embrace our differences...turn towards instead of turn away?

Come on! Sing with me...Someones Ignoring Me! Kumbaya! Someones Ignoring Me! Kumbaya! Oh Lord Kumbaya!

Let em read my posts! Kumbaya! Let em read my posts! Kumabaya...Oh Lord Kumbaya!

I'm not a labeled turd! Kumbaya! I'm not a labeled turd, Kumbaya!....

Hey! What do I care...nobody will be seeing this anyway! .....
