    Hi all,
Does the HV battery of a hybrid need to be service time to time. I mean like we do in oil change and oil filter replacement?. How to clean the battery compartment in a safe way. Can we use the vacuum cleaner to do that ?

One reasonable DIY is to check the condition of the hybrid battery fan, clean it's fins. Especially if you've taken pets in the car. If you've got a few wrenches and pry tools you should be able to get to it ok.

that's about it. you can lift up the floor to make sure there's no water around the battery case. in europe, they offer an annual health check on the toyota computer. you can pay for one here, but it's a waste of money imo.

Does the Toyota Dealer ever do this upon maintenance checks? Or do you have to request it specifically, and how often?

Luscious Garage offers fan cleaning. But regular Toyota dealerships: I kinda doubt it.

It may be possible to get a dealer to clean the battery fan, but it is not very difficult and they would charge a lot of money. What is a dealer's hourly rate, $100 +/hour?

Here is a you tube video showing how to clean your battery fan yourself.

if you don't haul pets, it's not an issue. and the newer pri added a filter.
