Does your name reveal your political leanings?

My first name goes strongly Republican, both by people and by money.

My last name goes weakly Democrat by people, but weakly Republican by money.

I used to give money to the Democrats, but ceased about two decades ago.

 

By people: 49%/51% Democrat vs. Republican

By money: 36%/64% Democrat vs. Republican

As long as we don't cheerlead our side or demonize the other guys (no matter what your definitions of "our side" and "the other guys" are), this shouldn't be thrown into FHOPolitics.

 

I learned that people with my last name don't donate to either party

Darn, I am just to the left of Karl Marx and was interested in what they claimed.


I did donate to McGovern because Nixon was overwhelming him, I recently gave money for a chance for dinner with the President of the United States.

 

My first name goes slight (56%) republican. My last name does not work, so I guess it is "independant".
