Dome Light Issue - 2007

    A few days ago, the dome light stopped coming on when I open any door. If I manually turn the dome light on, it works fine, but of course stays on until I turn the "ON" switch to "OFF" or "DOOR". When in the "DOOR" position, the dome light will not come on. I have checked all the fuses I can find and non are blown. Any ideas? Is there a diode in the circuit? (My KIA has a diode in the door circuit which was bad). Is there a wiring diagram available on line?

    A blown fuse is not the problem since you can get the dome light to turn on with the switch. My guess is that the switch itself has failed, when in the DOOR position.

    techinfo.toyota.com is the subscription website where you can obtain access to the electrical wiring diagram for your model year Prius.
